Hello! And thank you for taking the time to learn more about Spruce and Company!

Spruce and Company began in 2022 as a creative outlet - a YouTube channel to be specific - for three college friends in Rochester, NY. We chose the name “Spruce and Company” not only because it had a nice natural feel, but also because we lived in and carried out all our projects from a house affectionately named “Spruce”. We made some pretty cool projects over the course of our 4 years like a homemade pontoon boat, a live edge bartop, a hardwood table, a secret sliding bookshelf (just like in the movies), and the list goes on. Ultimately, we didn’t feel like YouTube was our calling, so that portion of Spruce and Company has been suspended.

However, as you may be able to tell from the list above, our heads are overflowing with ideas and we still wanted to find some way to share them with the world. That is when we decided to start an online shop. But not just any shop; we laid down some clear guiding principles for Spruce and Company:

1) Support social and environmental causes
2) Maintain creativity and diversity of work

We believe that these two things should reign above all else. Firstly, the states of the sociopolitical climate and environment have put us in a position where how we choose to produce and consume have an ever-growing significance. We should create and participate in systems that are driving toward a better tomorrow. Simply put, we here at Spruce and Company strive to have a net-positive impact on the world.

That doesn’t mean we can’t explore, though! And such describes core tenet #2. We shall not allow ourselves to become complacent in our creations. We will always keep searching for the next thing we can make and the next thing we can make it out of; There will be a diversity in the products we sell and in the materials we create them with.  While we specialize in 3D printed and woodcrafted items, that is by no means all we can do.  Sometimes, you may find paintings, pottery, sewn items, and anything in between!
